Wormhole Expands RLUSD Availability Across Multiple Blockchain Networks

Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, is expanding its reach across multiple blockchain networks thanks to Wormhole's Native Token Transfers standard. According to reports, the integration will enable RLUSD availability on Base, Unichain, and Optimism, which are prominent Layer-2 ecosystems.

The move aims to increase liquidity and network distribution channels for RLUSD, making it more accessible to a broader range of users. This is in line with Ripple's multichain strategy, which focuses on providing seamless asset movement between interconnected blockchain networks.

Native Token Transfers differ from traditional wrapped models by allowing native assets to be transferred directly between supported networks. This approach seeks to reduce the operational complexity associated with cross-chain transactions and improve liquidity efficiency.
