Bitaxe Miner Pulls Off Rare Feat with Single-Chip Block Reward
A rare achievement has been made in the world of Bitcoin mining by a Bitaxe ASIC miner. The device, equipped with only one chip and a hashrate of about 1 TH/s, successfully mined the 957,382nd block of Bitcoin, receiving the full block reward of 3.1382 BTC valued at approximately $200,580.
The mining difficulty for this block was as high as 294.14T, more than 2.2 times the required difficulty of 133.87T. The miner's owner retained 100% of the block reward and transaction fees by mining through a public pool with a 0% fee.
This event is extremely rare due to its low probability, occurring about once every 16,000 years. According to ChainCatcher, citing Bitcoin News, this achievement demonstrates the capabilities of Bitaxe ASIC miners in the competitive landscape of cryptocurrency mining.
