Stablecoin Reserves Gain Prominence as Exchange Health Indicator
The stablecoin reserve metric has become increasingly important in evaluating the structural resilience of major trading platforms.
As market participants focus on the underlying strength of exchanges, they are turning to stablecoin reserves as a key health indicator. This metric provides insight into investor confidence and liquidity, which can be more immediate and informative than traditional indicators like trade volume.
Data from CryptoQuant shows that stablecoin balances across major exchanges have remained relatively stable, with a slight moderation since late 2025. Binance holds the majority of the combined USDT and USDC balances, followed by OKX, Coinbase, and Bybit.
