Cryptocurrency Prices Plummet Amidst ETF Flows and Geopolitical Tensions
Cryptocurrency markets have continued to experience a decline in prices due to various factors. In the past 24 hours, the overall market capitalization has slipped by almost 3%, with Bitcoin falling below $65,000.
The drop in cryptocurrency prices can be attributed to several factors, including increased ETF flows and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The negative sentiment created by Strategy Inc's Bitcoin sales as well as a large Mt. Gox wallet transfer have also contributed to the decline.
In terms of liquidations, data from Coinglass shows that they have risen significantly, totaling over $1.76 billion in the past 24 hours. Long positions liquidated increased to $1.53 billion, while short positions liquidated stood at $229 million.
