Arizona Bill Includes XRP in Digital Assets Reserve Fund
The Arizona State Legislature has introduced a bill that includes XRP in its Digital Assets Strategic Reserve Fund, marking a significant step towards government adoption of the cryptocurrency.
The bill, which cleared the Senate Finance Committee with a 4-2 vote, allows the state to hold seized or surrendered digital assets, including XRP and DigiByte, securely rather than liquidating them immediately.
The State Treasurer would have discretion to custody those assets securely or use qualified exchange-traded products. This distinction lowers the political risk associated with government adoption of cryptocurrencies.
