Binance Hints at VIC Token Freeze Ahead of Network Upgrade
Binance has announced a temporary halt in deposits and withdrawals for the VIC token to support a network upgrade and hard fork. The pause is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. UTC on June 30.
VIC trading pairs will remain active during this time, but users won't be able to move their tokens into or out of Binance wallets until the upgrade is complete and the exchange deems the network stable.
The network upgrade represents fundamental changes to the VIC blockchain's protocol, often introducing new features, improving security, or altering consensus mechanisms. While specific technical details have not been released, exchanges typically reopen deposits and withdrawals once the upgraded network demonstrates stability and compatibility.
