Web3 Foundation Shifts Focus to Global Advocacy and Asset Management

The Web3 Foundation has made significant changes in its strategy, transitioning from an operational to a more advocacy-focused role. This shift allows the foundation to concentrate on global Web3 evangelism and long-term financial stewardship.

With the Polkadot ecosystem reaching maturity, W3F is no longer needed to actively support and maintain it. As a result, several key programs have been concluded, including the General Grants Program, Support, Decentralized Voices, and Decentralized Nodes.

The organization will continue to focus on global advocacy, promoting decentralized web technologies on a global scale. Additionally, W3F will prioritize disciplined long-term asset management, ensuring that resources are allocated towards efforts with the greatest global impact.
