Bybit Pay Expands in South Africa through MoneyBadger Integration

Bybit's Bybit Pay service has made significant strides in its expansion efforts, as it has now entered the South African market through a partnership with payments provider MoneyBadger. This integration enables users to make cryptocurrency payments at over 650,000 merchants across the country.

The convenient QR code-based payment system supports various cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and stablecoins, allowing for instant conversions to the local currency at the point of sale. This reduces exposure to price volatility, making it easier for businesses to accept cryptocurrency payments without holding them.

South Africa has a thriving crypto market, with an estimated 5.8 million users, and over half of them already using digital assets for payments. The country's advanced regulatory framework has fostered a more institutionalized market, contributing to its growth.
