Cardano V11 Van Rossem Upgrade Progresses with Preview Testnet Activation

The Cardano team has successfully deployed the V11 Van Rossem hard fork on Preview testnet, paving the way for further development and testing. This upgrade is expected to bring significant improvements to smart contract efficiency, security, and governance.

Node v11.0.1 plays a crucial role in this process, and operators must ensure they are running this version to cross the hard fork boundary. DB-Sync v13.7.0.5 also supports the upgrade path, helping downstream services stay aligned with the new protocol.

PreProd is currently undergoing review and testing before the wider rollout. The Plutus Cost Model update has taken effect on May 16, raising some existing cost model values that developers need to test their applications against.
