Ricardo Salinas, a well-known figure in Mexico's financial industry, recently made a statement regarding the country's banking sector and cryptocurrencies. According to CoinDesk, he mentioned that Mexican banks are prohibited from participating in cryptocurrency businesses due to central bank directives.
Salinas stated that it is not possible for banks to integrate cryptocurrencies into their operations. This means that banks in Mexico will not be able to offer cryptocurrency services or provide financial support for crypto-related activities.
