Tether-Linked Super PAC Enters Politics with $300,000 Donation
A recent development in the world of cryptocurrency has seen a Tether-linked Super PAC enter the political arena.
Fellowship, a Super PAC with ties to Tether executives, has quietly funneled $300,000 into a Georgia congressional race. The money trail runs through Nxum Group, a firm co-founded by Bo Hines, who serves as CEO of Tether US and previously advised the Trump administration on crypto policy.
While paying a company affiliated with a PAC's founder is not illegal under U.S. campaign finance rules, if services were genuinely rendered at market rates, this development raises questions about the involvement of Tether in politics.
