Corporate Bitcoin Holdings Surge to Record High Amid Ongoing Market Volatility
Corporate Bitcoin holdings have reached an all-time high of 1.26 million BTC, valued at approximately $79 billion. This significant milestone was achieved through a record-breaking Q2 buying spree, where public companies purchased nearly 110,000 BTC.
The increased demand from corporations for Bitcoin treasuries has outpaced the rate of new supply, with corporates purchasing more than twice the volume of newly minted cryptocurrency in the last quarter. By July 2026, public companies had added 166,984 BTC to their treasuries, while miners produced only 81,153 BTC.
Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, remains the largest corporate Bitcoin holder with between 843,775 and 847,000 BTC. However, the company recently sold 3,588 BTC in late June and early July, a rare move for Strategy which holds the largest Bitcoin reserves among corporations worldwide.
