Solana Surges with 8.4M New Addresses Daily Amid Network Acceleration

Solana's network activity has accelerated significantly over the past week, with the blockchain adding an average of 8.4 million new addresses per day.

This marks a sharp rise in network activity, even though the SOL token remains below $80.

The latest 24-hour count reached more than 9.2 million first-time addresses, and the metric covers addresses appearing for the first time in a transaction involving native SOL.

Solana's active-address count rose 55% over the week, placing it ahead of other major blockchains such as Tron, BNB Chain, Bitcoin, and Ethereum.
