Winklevoss Twins Selloff Spotted in $67M Crypto Transfer
The Winklevoss twins have made significant movements in their Bitcoin and Ethereum holdings, transferring over $67 million to Gemini wallets. According to blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss moved approximately $60 million in Bitcoin (BTC) and $7 million in Ethereum (ETH) from custody to hot wallets linked to the Gemini crypto exchange on July 1.
This activity pattern matches their previous selloff behavior, although Arkham did not confirm that the assets have already been sold. The twins still hold over $300 million worth of Bitcoin and have realized around $1.7 billion in profit since accumulating it in 2015.
Bitcoin remains under pressure, with Citigroup lowering its 12-month price target to $82,000 from $112,000, while Ethereum's forecast was reduced to $2,240 from $3,175. Sellers are dominating the market, and losing the $57,000-$58,000 support region could expose Bitcoin to a deeper decline toward the $50,000 level.
