Cryptocurrency Market Experiences Broad Decline on Friday
The cryptocurrency market saw a significant decline on Friday, with major tokens such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) experiencing losses of 2.40% and 3.62% respectively.
According to TokenPostMarket data, the price pullback was not limited to these two majors, with large-cap altcoins such as XRP, BNB, Solana, Dogecoin, and TRON also declining in value.
The total crypto market capitalization stood at approximately $2.5349 trillion, while 24-hour spot trading volume came in at roughly $77.02 billion.
Derivatives activity, often a proxy for leverage demand and short-term conviction, cooled significantly, with total crypto derivatives volume over the past 24 hours standing at around $649.65 billion - down 12.79% from the prior day.
