Cryptocurrency Options Expiration Event Ahead: $2.68 Billion Up For Grabs

The cryptocurrency markets are gearing up for another period of significant price volatility as several high-value options are set to expire on major exchanges.

According to recent data from Bitget, more than 32,000 Bitcoin (BTC) options will expire, with a notional value of $2.3 billion. This is in addition to the 184,000 Ethereum (ETH) options expiring, worth approximately $380 million.

Bitcoin's put-call ratio stands at 1.69, indicating that more option holders are betting on lower prices than higher ones. The maximum pain point for Bitcoin buyers is currently set at around $69,000.
