Crypto's Low Priority Among U.S. Voters Ahead of 2026 Midterm Election

A new poll conducted by Public Opinion Strategies among 1,000 registered U.S. voters has shed light on the current state of cryptocurrency's influence in the lead-up to the 2026 midterm election.

The survey found that digital assets rank lowest in voter priorities for the midterms, with only 3% naming crypto as their single most important issue. This is despite a significant portion of respondents - 27% - reporting some level of exposure to digital assets, with 2% holding more than $10,000 in cryptocurrency.

The poll also revealed a broadly unfavorable view of cryptocurrency across much of the electorate, with voters leaning toward the Republican Party being slightly more favorable than unfavorable on crypto. However, base Republicans, independents, Democratic-leaning voters, and base Democrats all register more negative than positive views.
