DeFi Projects Everclear and ZERO Network Announce Shutdowns Amid Market Downturn
Two decentralized finance (DeFi) projects have announced their shutdowns this week, adding to the growing list of closures in the DeFi space in 2026.
Everclear and ZERO Network cited different pressures for their shutdowns. Everclear said it underestimated partner onboarding timelines, while ZERO Network framed its closure as a strategic refocus by Zerion on its wallet and API.
The closures are part of a broader market downturn that has pressured crypto companies, leading to consolidations in the DeFi space.
