Circle and Nium Unite to Streamline Global Capital Mobility
Circle Internet Group has formed a strategic partnership with cross-border payments platform Nium to connect on-chain digital dollar settlement with traditional last-mile fiat payouts. This integration aims to address the persistent bottleneck in institutional Web3 infrastructure by linking fast blockchain settlement directly with local banking systems, credit cards, and digital wallets.
The collaboration integrates Nium into Circle's Payments Network, an infrastructure stack operated by Circle Technology Services LLC. Through this agreement, financial institutions utilizing the network gain direct access to Nium's payout rails, which span more than 190 countries and process over 100 different currencies.
By joining forces, Circle and Nium enable corporate clients to route transactions through the network into its global distribution architecture via a single API integration. This joint solution features integrated foreign exchange optimization and smart routing mechanisms to eliminate the need for enterprises to secure separate local payout providers.
