BlockDAG's Scalability Upgrade Ignites Interest in Emerging Blockchain

BlockDAG's recent network upgrade has increased throughput to 5,000 transactions per second, addressing one of the biggest challenges in blockchain scalability.

The new upgrade strengthens the foundation for the broader BlockDAG ecosystem and creates capacity needed to support real-world applications across gaming, payments, stablecoins, lending, borrowing, and other services being built on the network.

The project operates as a Layer-1 Proof-of-Work blockchain with both EVM and WASM compatibility, providing flexibility for developers building decentralized applications. BlockDAG's infrastructure continues expanding, with its X1 mining application already attracting 4 million users.

Utility products are also growing on the platform, including the BlockDAG Casino, which launched on May 14, offering over 30 sports and supporting 25 payment methods. This creates a direct utility loop for the token itself, generating recurring demand linked to platform activity rather than market speculation.
