Ethereum Mainnet Wallets Compromised in Suspected Real-Time Vulnerability Attack

A concerning security incident has been reported on the Ethereum mainnet, where hundreds of wallets have been compromised and emptied by a single address.

According to an anonymous blockchain investigator known as Wazz, the affected wallets had been inactive for extended periods, with some dating back over seven years.

The investigation suggests that the incident may be linked to a new type of real-time vulnerability attack.

Crypto users are warning others to review their security practices, particularly those who stored mnemonic phrases in LastPass's secure notes during 2020 and 2021.
