Intesa Sanpaolo Expands Digital Asset Portfolio with XRP-Linked Position

Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy's largest banking group, has expanded its digital asset portfolio by adding a new position linked to XRP through the Grayscale XRP Trust. According to reports, the bank held 712,319 shares of the trust in Q1 2026, valued at approximately $18 million.

This move marks Intesa Sanpaolo's growing interest in tokenized finance and digital asset custody. The bank has been increasing its exposure to cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, and reducing its holdings in Solana-linked products.
