Catena Labs Closes $30 Million Series A Round for AI-Native Banking Infrastructure
Catena Labs, a pioneering AI financial infrastructure company, has secured $30 million in Series A funding. The round was co-led by venture capital firms Acrew Capital and Andreessen Horowitz's (a16z) crypto arm.
The funds will be used to further develop the company's 'AI-native banking' infrastructure, which enables AI agents to securely execute financial operations such as payments, transfers, and fund management.
Catena Labs has also taken a significant step towards commercialization by applying for a New York national trust banking license from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). This will allow the company to support payment processing and client fund custody.
