Revolut App Displays Incorrect Crypto Prices Amid Technical Glitch
A technical glitch in Revolut's app led to a widespread display of incorrect cryptocurrency prices on Friday. According to reports, Bitcoin momentarily appeared to be trading at $0.02, while other assets such as XRP and Solana also showed significant price drops.
The issue was attributed to a failure in one of the third-party providers used by Revolut for pricing data. The company's engineers worked to resolve the problem, which was fixed shortly after being reported.
Experts suggest that the glitch may have been caused by either a corrupt data tick or a transient liquidity gap, both of which are possible explanations given the characteristics of Revolut's pricing system.
