EU Imposes New Sanctions on Russia, Ukraine Receives Military Aid

The European Union has taken a significant step in its efforts to pressure Russia with the approval of the 20th package of sanctions. The new measures target 117 individuals, 60 entities, and 46 oil tankers, as well as Russian-based providers and platforms that enable cryptocurrency transactions.

The EU has also cleared the way for a €90 billion loan to Ukraine, which it believes will be repaid through reparations from Moscow. This move comes as European leaders gathered in Cyprus for an informal summit, where they discussed the prospect of Ukraine's accession to the EU.
