Revolut App Displays Wildly Inaccurate Crypto Prices Due to External Pricing Provider Issue
A recent incident highlighted the importance of reliable pricing infrastructure in the cryptocurrency market. A technical issue caused Revolut's app to display wildly inaccurate crypto prices, including Bitcoin being listed at just 2 cents.
According to reports, the problem was attributed to a service failure at an external pricing provider. This led to multiple coins being affected simultaneously, with users seeing price drops across XRP, Solana, and even stablecoins like USDT and USDC.
The anomaly appeared entirely contained within Revolut's app, with no matching prints on any other platform. Experts attributed the issue to either a corrupt data tick or a transient liquidity gap in the app's order book.
