Institutional Investors Rotate Capital Amid Anticipation of Blockbuster IPOs
The cryptocurrency market is currently experiencing a temporary slowdown due to institutional investors rotating their capital into other assets.
Yoshitaka Kitao, CEO of SBI Holdings, attributes this sluggish price action to the anticipation of blockbuster initial public offerings (IPOs) in the United States. These highly anticipated IPOs require significant amounts of capital, causing investors to sell off risk-on assets like cryptocurrencies.
The most notable of these IPOs include SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI, which are expected to be among the most expensive in stock market history. The combined fundraising for these companies could exceed $200 billion, with total target valuations adding up to roughly $3.6 trillion.
