Trust Wallet Integrates Intercepta's Threat Detection Technology for 220M Users
Trust Wallet has partnered with Intercepta to integrate its real-time threat detection technology and protect its 220 million users. This comes after a browser extension breach in December 2025 that resulted in $7 million in losses.
Intercepta operates as infrastructure-level security, running risk analysis on transactions behind the scenes before they're confirmed by users. The company offers six core modules: threat detection, signing simulation, risk and compliance screening, automation rules, and continuous monitoring.
The platform monitors over 100,000 threats daily across its supported blockchains and boasts a false positive rate of less than 0.001%. This means that when Intercepta flags a suspicious transaction, it's likely to be legitimate. Trust Wallet isn't Intercepta's first major integration, as the company already provides security infrastructure for MetaMask and 1inch.
This partnership raises the baseline expectation for transaction safety across the self-custody wallet sector. However, there is also a risk of concentration if a single security provider underpins transaction screening for a large portion of users.
