Binance Invests Heavily in Compliance to Counter Crypto Threats
Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has disclosed its significant investment in compliance operations. The company spends approximately $300 million each year on ensuring regulatory adherence and security.
This substantial expenditure is matched by a dedicated team of nearly 1,500 staff focused on preventing fraud and protecting users' assets. Since 2021, Binance has recovered over $8.2 billion in user assets, underscoring the effectiveness of its systems in countering illicit activity.
The exchange's compliance efforts have also resulted in blocking $10.53 billion in potential fraud attempts between 2025 and the first quarter of 2026. This figure highlights the scale of threats targeting crypto platforms and the resources required to mitigate them.
