Bitcoin's Price Is Just the Beginning: Bitwise CEO on Crypto's Future

Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise Asset Management, one of the largest crypto-focused asset managers, argues that focusing on Bitcoin's current price is missing the forest for the trees.

He frames Bitcoin's $2 trillion value against a global asset pool of around $400 trillion, saying its share is about 0.5% and that it looks expensive only against where it has been, not against its future potential.

Horsley points to four structural tailwinds favoring crypto at once: eroding institutional trust, growing money supply, generational wealth transfer, and a rotation to alternatives.

He also reframes Bitcoin's disappointing payment story as a sequencing problem, with widespread adoption now becoming viable as the value question is largely resolved.
