Cryptocurrency Market Braces for Massive Token Unlock Event

The upcoming week is set to see a significant influx of new tokens entering the market, with over $438 million in unlocks scheduled for March 16th to March 23rd.

This large-scale release will be spread across multiple projects, creating a mix of cliff and linear emissions. The largest cliff unlock events include LayerZero's 25.71 million ZRO tokens worth $55.53 million, as well as Arbitrum's 96 million ARB tokens valued at around $10 million.

On the linear side, RAIN is leading the way with a seven-day unlock value of $86.51 million, followed closely by Solana's 472,330 SOL tokens worth $43.80 million. Other notable linear releases include TRUMP, Worldcoin, and Dogecoin.

While larger projects like LayerZero and Arbitrum are expected to handle the fresh circulation well, smaller projects may face increased pressure due to percentage changes in supply having a more significant impact on thinner markets.
