Trump Reveals $1.2 Billion Crypto Income as Presidency Winds Down

US President Donald Trump has reported earning US$1.2 billion in income from his cryptocurrency activities in 2025, according to documents released by the Office of Government Ethics.

The figure is comprised of nearly US$550 million received from World Liberty Financial, a startup that issued its own cryptocurrency, WLFI, whose initial sale brought in US$550m. Trump and his three sons also obtained 22.5 billion WLFI via an intermediary company, DT Marks Defi, currently worth around US$1.3b.

The President's income disclosure also mentions US$635 million in royalties received under a licensing agreement related to the $TRUMP cryptocurrency, launched just hours before his inauguration in January 2025.
