Cryptocurrency Market Sees Significant Gains on Monday Morning

The cryptocurrency market has experienced a period of volatility, but ultimately saw significant gains on Monday morning. Bitcoin's price rose to a six-week peak of over $74,000, although it was unable to maintain this level and currently sits at around $70,000.

Many altcoins have also seen notable increases in value, with Ethereum reclaiming the $2,200 level and Cardano jumping by 10% at one point. The market cap of Bitcoin has increased to over $1.4 trillion, while its dominance over other cryptocurrencies remains below 57%.

The total cryptocurrency market capitalization has also seen a significant boost, adding nearly $100 billion in value over the past day and reaching just under $2.6 trillion. Several altcoins have seen double-digit increases in value, with PEPE leading the pack at an impressive 18% surge.
