BitGo Launches MiCA-Compliant Platform for EU Crypto Companies

The European Union's MiCA regulations are set to take effect on July 1, posing a significant threat to cryptocurrency companies operating in the region without a license. Approximately 75% of pre-MiCA registered companies risk being de-registered and no longer operational.

BitGo, a major digital asset custody provider, has launched a MiCA-compliant Crypto-as-a-Service platform for EU businesses. This solution allows companies to register with BitGo, connect their wallets, and complete necessary know-your-customer (KYC) tasks while pursuing their own MiCA license.

BitGo's CEO Mike Belshe notes that companies can continue to assess or pursue their own CASP licenses concurrently while integrating BitGo Europe's infrastructure. This approach enables businesses to run their operations without incurring unnecessary penalties for non-compliance.
