AI-Driven DeFi Security Imbalance Results in $690 Million Losses
CertiK's co-founder and CEO, Gu Ronghui, has highlighted the exacerbation of DeFi security imbalances by AI tools.
The recent surge in hacker attacks on decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms has led to significant losses. In April this year, the total losses exceeded $690 million, making it one of the most severe months since March 2022.
Gu Ronghui attributed this imbalance to AI tools enabling attackers to easily identify vulnerabilities and replicate attack vectors.
The concentration of computing power on a single protocol makes it difficult for security firms to allocate resources effectively, putting defenders at a disadvantage.
