X Hires Crypto-Native Design Expert Benji Taylor Ahead of X Money Rollout

Elon Musk's social media platform X has made a significant addition to its team with the hiring of Benji Taylor, a renowned crypto-native product designer. According to sources, Taylor will assume the role of head of design at X and will be responsible for leading the company's design efforts. This move is seen as a strategic step by X to expand its services and enhance user experience.

Taylor brings a wealth of experience in the field, having previously founded Los Feliz Engineering, a consumer software studio that was acquired by Aave Labs in 2023. He also held the position of chief product officer at Aave until October 2025, overseeing the company's product strategy and development for its decentralized lending protocol and related applications.

Before joining X, Taylor led design efforts for Coinbase's Ethereum layer-2 network Base, where he was responsible for the network's product and interface design across its user and developer-facing experiences. This appointment is seen as a significant coup by X in its bid to attract top talent in the industry.
