Altcoin Momentum Stalls as Bitcoin Sell-Off Risk Persists
The altcoin market is facing a period of low momentum, according to recent analysis from Altcoin Vector. Both upward and downward momentum indicators are currently low, suggesting that while there's no immediate correction pressure, there's also a lack of new catalysts to drive a rally.
During this phase, altcoins often trade sideways or experience heightened volatility. The absence of strong directional momentum leaves the market vulnerable to sudden swings without a clear trend in either direction.
Historically, a period of suppressed momentum is frequently followed by a strong upward surge. However, this rebound typically requires two conditions: Bitcoin's proprietary risk index must exit its sell-off zone and overall selling pressure in the market must subside.
