Warren Demands Trump Disclose Cryptocurrency Profits Amid CLARITY Act Debate
Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren is pressing President Donald Trump to disclose updated financial information, including cryptocurrency profits from early 2026. The push comes after Trump's 2025 annual report revealed his cryptocurrency income reached $1.4 billion, with the meme coin 'Official Trump' and 'World Liberty Financial' identified as primary revenue sources.
The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act) under consideration in the Senate could create conflicts of interest by boosting the president's personal assets, according to Warren. The bill would establish market structure for digital assets and has been passed by the House in July 2025.
Warren warned that without adequate safeguards, the CLARITY Act would accelerate the President's significant conflicts of interest and almost certainly increase the value of the President's and his family's cryptocurrency holdings. The bill's fate is uncertain due to partisan divisions, with many Democratic lawmakers pushing for explicit ethics provisions.
