Fulham FC Appoints Álvaro Arbeloa as New Head Coach Amid Blockchain Sponsorship Ties
Fulham FC has appointed Álvaro Arbeloa as its new head coach on a three-year deal, effective until June 2029. The 43-year-old Spaniard takes over from Marco Silva, who left for Benfica.
The appointment is significant for crypto-adjacent investors due to Fulham's history of experimenting with blockchain-linked sponsorships. A new coaching era often leads to a commercial reset, which could bring fresh opportunities or risks for digital asset projects tied to football.
Arbeloa cut his teeth in Real Madrid's youth academy and worked his way up through the development ranks before being handed the reins of Real Madrid Castilla, the club's reserve team, in May 2025. He also took charge of the first team from January to May 2026.
