Aave DAO Approves $25 Million Grant Proposal from Aave Labs
The decentralized finance (DeFi) community has seen significant developments in recent times, and the latest news from the Aave DAO is no exception.
Aave DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization that governs the Aave protocol, has approved a grant proposal from Aave Labs worth $25 million. This decision was made after a voting process, which saw 522,780 AAVE tokens in support and 175,310 AAVE tokens opposed, resulting in a support rate of approximately 75%.
The allocation of funds will be as follows: an immediate release of 5 million aEthLidoGHO tokens, followed by the distribution of a total of 20 million aEthLidoGHO tokens over 6 and 12 months. Additionally, Aave DAO will allocate 75,000 AAVE tokens (approximately $6.8 million) from its ecosystem reserve, unlocked linearly over 48 months.
The fund execution is scheduled for Monday afternoon, when the funds will start flowing to Aave Labs' control address.
