A high-profile hack on a Russian cryptocurrency exchange has sparked concerns about the involvement of foreign intelligence agencies.

Grinex, a Kyrgyzstan-registered exchange with ties to Russia, suffered a loss of over $15 million in cryptocurrencies after being hacked earlier this week. The incident is believed to be linked to another affected exchange, TokenSpot, which is also registered in Kyrgyzstan but serves predominantly Russian customers.

Blockchain forensics firms have tracked the stolen funds, finding that they were eventually converted into Tron tokens (TRX) and deposited into a single address. The attackers' digital footprint suggests an unprecedented level of resources and technology may have been involved.
