Ripple Lands CASP License in Luxembourg Amid MiCA Compliance Push

Ripple has secured a preliminary Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license in Luxembourg, solidifying its position within the European Union and ensuring full compliance ahead of the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) transition deadline on July 1.

This milestone allows Ripple to scale its crypto services to financial institutions and businesses across all 30 countries of the European Economic Area. The combined CASP and existing electronic money institution (EMI) license grants full access to Ripple's end-to-end cryptoasset and stablecoin payments infrastructure, enabling European banks, fintechs, and corporates to collect, exchange, and pay out via a single integration.

Ripple has received approval through a 'Green Light Letter' from Luxembourg's financial regulator CSSF. This follows other European regulatory approvals, including a license from the UK FCA and partnerships in the EU region. The company now boasts over 75 global licenses.
