Hoskinson's Alleged ADA Sales: Blockchain Review Finds Monthly Transfers

A review of blockchain data by NFT artist Masato Alexander has shed light on claims that Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano (ADA), sold a significant amount of ADA during the 2021 bull market. The allegations first surfaced in May 2025 from a crypto community member named Slimelife, who claimed to have sold approximately 1.5 billion ADA on behalf of Hoskinson while ADA traded between $1 and $3.

According to Alexander's review, blockchain records show nine transfers of about 20.2 million ADA each between April 2 and November 22, 2021. These transfers occurred approximately every 28 days and were sent to the same receiving address ending in 'px4u'. The combined value of these transactions was around 185 million ADA.

However, Alexander emphasized that blockchain data cannot confirm whether any ADA was sold. On-chain records can show transfers between wallets but do not prove off-chain sales, cash payments, or private agreements.
