Aave Maintains Dual-Layer Risk Management Amid Chaos Labs' Withdrawal

Aave's founder Stani Kulechov has addressed the recent withdrawal of Chaos Labs from its risk management role. According to Kulechov, the protocol respects Chaos Labs' decision and acknowledges their contributions over the past years.

The Aave protocol's smart contracts, asset listings, and network deployments remain unaffected by the change. To ensure continuity, the dual-layer economic risk management model will be maintained, with LlamaRisk taking over Chaos Labs' responsibilities.

Aave has also announced plans to introduce a technical risk layer managed by Aave Labs. This new layer will work closely with LlamaRisk to provide uninterrupted risk coverage during the transition period and beyond.
