South Korea's National Tax Service has suffered a significant loss after its attempts to showcase the success of its crackdown on illicit cryptocurrency activities backfired. In an unfortunate incident, the agency shared a photo that inadvertently revealed a seed phrase, which is a crucial piece of information used for accessing cryptocurrency wallets.

The photo, intended to demonstrate the seizure of illicit funds, was meant to be a celebratory post by the National Tax Service. However, in doing so, they compromised their own security and inadvertently exposed themselves to potential cyber threats.
