Coinbase Partners with Kemet to Enhance Institutional Trading Infrastructure

Coinbase, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has formed a strategic partnership with Kemet, a platform provider for institutional derivatives traders. This collaboration will enable institutions to access Coinbase's trading venues through a single interface, enhancing their ability to execute complex strategies and manage risk.

Kemet's platform supports multi-leg options strategies, smart order routing, automatic delta hedging, and spread trading algorithms, giving institutions a comprehensive toolset for navigating derivatives markets. The integration of Kemet's tools with Coinbase's Exchange, Derivatives Exchange, International Exchange, and Deribit is expected to expand institutional access to spot, futures, and options markets.

The partnership underscores Coinbase's push into institutional derivatives trading, which was further strengthened by its acquisition of Deribit in August 2025. With this deal, Coinbase has secured a major foothold in crypto options and has demonstrated its commitment to expanding its offerings to meet the needs of institutional investors.
