GenLayer's AI Agent Court Revolutionizes Dispute Resolution in DeFi

The issue of disputes in DeFi payments has been a major hurdle for the growth of decentralized finance. With irreversible transfers, there's no friendly chargeback button when something goes wrong, leading to losses and mistrust among users.

GenLayer is addressing this problem with its AI Agent Court, which provides a neutral venue for resolving disputes in on-chain transactions. The court has already seen significant adoption, with over 25.8k daily decisions and 326k daily transactions processed at a rate of 3.77 TPS.

The court's pricing is designed to be low-cost and efficient, with sub-dollar rulings available for common cases like agentic commerce and flight delays. This has changed the economics of dispute resolution in DeFi, making it cheaper to adjudicate edge cases than to eat the loss or design around them with heavy deposits.

The Internet Court consortium, which includes 27 companies such as OKX, MetaMask, and ZKsync, aims to connect identity, payments, escrow, and verification into an end-to-end adjudication layer. This open-standard approach is expected to reduce the cost of disputes and improve the developer experience across networks.
