Schwartz Warns: 90% Chance You're Talking to an Imposter on Instagram

Ripple's Chief Technology Officer Emeritus David Schwartz has issued another warning to the crypto community regarding impersonation scams on social media. This time, he addressed an individual who had engaged with his post on X about having a Facebook account that he rarely uses.

Schwartz clarified that anyone claiming to be him on Instagram, Telegram, or other platforms is likely a scammer. He provided a link to his actual Facebook account and noted that it's been years since he last used his Instagram account.

The X user had sent Schwartz a message on Instagram, which the Ripple CTO Emeritus pointed out might belong to an imposter. In response to this interaction, Schwartz warned the user that there was a 90% chance they were talking to an imposter.
