BITO Sees Rarely Large Outflow Amid Bitcoin Market Volatility
The ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF, ticker BITO, has seen a significant outflow of $24.78 million on June 05, 2026. This marks one of the largest single-day withdrawals from the fund since its inception, representing approximately 1.69% of its assets under management.
The total value of the fund's AUM is $1.47 billion, making this a notable pullback for investors in listed bitcoin products. The related asset, BTC-USD, has been trading at $62,696.99 as of late, experiencing a decline of around 9.7% over the past three months.
The current technical signal for short-term momentum is flashing Sell, which may explain why some traders are trimming their exposure to futures-based vehicles like BITO. The elevated funding and rollover expenses associated with holding futures-linked exposure could also be a contributing factor to this outflow.
