Ripple's RLUSD Stablecoin Surges Past $1.5 Billion Mark

Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin has been making waves in the cryptocurrency market with its impressive growth over the past month. According to CoinGecko data, RLUSD is currently hovering at $1.58 billion, just a hair's breadth away from reaching the $1.6 billion milestone following the latest mint on the XRP Ledger.

The stablecoin has been gaining traction due in part to Ripple's aggressive minting strategy, which injected nearly 75 million new RLUSD into circulation over three weeks in February. This surge in supply has helped RLUSD surpass established players like Binance and Tron in terms of market capitalization.
